Our Story
Through God’s providence and direction, Grace Community Academy opened its doors in 2021 as an independent, Christian K–12 school in Northeast Columbia, South Carolina. From the beginning, GCA has been built on a deep commitment to providing a quality Christian education while cultivating a Christ-centered community and equipping students for a life of faithful service.

GCA embraces a Christian educational philosophy, seeking to develop students who are grounded in truth, equipped to think deeply, and prepared to live faithfully in God’s world. Our board, faculty, and staff are passionate about partnering with families to provide an education that nurtures both the mind and the heart.

GCA is a member of the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools (SCACS) and the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS). In 2025, GCA received full Keystone accreditation, affirming our commitment to excellence in Christian education and our ongoing pursuit of high academic and organizational standards.

At GCA, we believe education is more than the transfer of knowledge. It is an opportunity to disciple the whole student. In partnership with parents and the local church, we are building a Kingdom-minded educational community where students are challenged academically, encouraged spiritually, and equipped to serve others.

Through small class sizes, discipleship-based leadership, and quality academic support services, we seek to create an environment where every student can grow in wisdom, character, and faith. Our desire is to see students abound in grace as they discover their God-given gifts and learn to use them for His glory.

Ultimately, our mission reaches beyond the classroom. We desire to prepare students to passionately pursue the spread of the Gospel in every culture and community where God calls them to serve.
